About the Team

CEO & Founder

Amanda Goldberg is a regenerative designer with a focus on helping clients design products, systems, and spaces to be truly sustainable and regenerative throughout the entire life cycle. Amanda worked with Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute (C2C) after finishing her Master's degree. Prior to joining the Institute, Amanda acted as the Director of Environmental Systems for New Earth Music Hall.

Amanda also taps into the incredible artistry and designers of the Bay Area and has established an elaborate network of talented wood workers, metal fabricators, CNC artists, and ecological designers that she calls on to collaborate for certain projects.

Amanda holds a Master's degree of Science in Regenerative Design from Cal Poly Pomona where she focused on using plants to enhance the performance of buildings by improving air quality, and an undergraduate degree in Industrial & Interaction Design with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Syracuse University. She also holds a LEED AP (ID+C) accreditation, a Global Reporting Initiative Certification, and is certified in Advanced Permaculture and considers herself a passionate gardener with a green thumb for life.

Project Manager & Designer

Lucy joined Planted Design in late 2015. Although her background is in science and operations, she has always loved plants and good design. She recently finished an intensive summer program at UC Berkeley in Landscape Architecture. Prior to joining Planted Design, she worked as the Operations Manager at Prismatic and an Operations Specialist at Google X. She holds a Bachelors of Science from Brown University in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Animal Studies. Lucy has a small jungle growing in her house and always open to taking in more orphan plants.
