Planted Design installed this nearly 18-foot pocket system living wall beneath a dramatic brass-railed spiral staircase, overlooking a lap pool in this Emeryville senior living community's central atrium. Pothos, ferns and pink-blushed philodendron fill the wall's individual planting pockets, giving it a rich mix of foliage color that reads clearly from every level of the staircase. A strong example of a large-scale living wall built as the centerpiece of a shared amenity space.
